Debian now ships 2:4.1.5+dfsg-1 which works for me - the version
currently shipped with Ubuntu does not, see bug 1292548

  Hi,

  Would be great if the next Ubuntu LTS contained the latest upstream
  branch 4.1 of Samba. It's available on Debian/sid.

  2:4.0.13+dfsg-1ubuntu1 in trusty and 2:4.1.4+dfsg-3 in sid as of
  writing.
