Public bug reported:

Original: http://askubuntu.com/questions/ask

**Brief**

I have ASUS X75V under Ubuntu 13.10 and my wireless driver doesn't work.

`$ lspci | grep Network
Network controller: Ralink corp. RT3290 Wireless 802.11n 1T/1R PCIe`

As I found out, this is kernel issue so I tried upgrade kernel from 13.11 to 13.12, but it was highly unstable for me so I downgrade kernel.

Also I have ASUS K53TA under upgraded Ubuntu 14.04 and it works perfect
for me so I tried upgrade X75V.

**What is the problem**

I have switched off all aditional repositories and I'm trying upgrade
running `upgrade-maneder -d` but I have following error message which
says:

>This problem could be because of:
>
>* Upgrade to pre-release Ubuntu
>* Using current pre-release version of Ubuntu
>* Not official software
