Title:
  Nautilus Thunar crash using libgio-2.0.so

Status in “glib2.0” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
When selecting a ND2 file (Microscopy Image File format from Nikon,
usually pretty large, more than 1 GB) using either pcmanfm, nautilus
or thunar, those file manager crash and the following appears in the
  log:

  [278325.958862] nautilus[28904]: segfault at 7fff70d85ff8 ip 00007fa49bd8096f sp 00007fff70d86000 error 6 in libgio-2.0.so.0.3200.3[7fa49bc98000+148000]
  [278398.699508] thunar[28919]: segfault at 7fff46144ff0 ip 00007fde22411905 sp 00007fff46144ff0 error 6 in libgio-2.0.so.0.3200.3[7fde22329000+148000]

The same behavior occurs when just going to the folder containing
those files with image preview selected.

1 month ago, I didn't have this problem so it must have come with a
  recent update.

  uname -a

  lsb_release -rd
  Description:	Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
  Release:	12.04

  dpkg --get-selections | grep libgio
  libgio-cil install
