  kubuntu 13.10 to 14.04 Could Not Calculate the Upgrade

Status in “ubuntu-release-upgrader” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I know just enough about Linux to be dangerous, so please bear with
  me. Attempting to install to the new release for Kubuntu 14.04 from
  13.10. Ran kubuntu-devel-release-upgrade and I get the error: Could
  not calculate the upgrade. I am running a system that is near
  identical to this one and the update is running just fine, but I get
  the error on this system for some reason. I have checked my PPAs and
  originally found a bad repository that I have removed, but I still get
  this error.
