For a usb, make sure that you format it first, and when you boot it up,
choose the check cd option to verify it is correct.  You also might run
the memtest option to rule out bad ram, which is another possibility.

  Installation can not complete

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Everytime when I try to install Xubuntu or Ubuntu 14.04 beta it shows
  error like "input/output error e.g. files on your DVD is corrupted". I
  made this installation on my laptop from some several flash drives
  (even from new, freshly buyed), and installation was interrupted every
  time on different files.
