Public bug reported:

After installing Ubuntu 13.10 desktop amd64 alongside OSX (using the default choices along with "Install Ubuntu alongside Mac OSX") on a retina macbook pro, Ubuntu doesn't appear in the Apple boot menu (the one that appears when holding Alt/Option at boot).
I worked around this locally by moving the files from /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu to /boot/efi/EFI/Boot and renaming grubx64.efi to bootx64.efi , but I'm not sure if this is The Proper Way.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
