Laney | pitti: Yeah, new feature you have to opt in to use in a QA-ish
package sounds fine

Thanks, will sync once package gets imported into LP.

Title:
  FFE: Add option for running shell in testbed

Status in “autopkgtest” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
  For debugging failing autopkgtests it is really helpful to get a shell
  in the testbed (schroot, container, qemu, etc.) right after the failed
  tests, when all dependencies, preparations etc. are set up. This is a
  new feature which doesn't change the existing behaviour if you don't
  specify the options. Implementation:

  http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=autopkgtest/autopkgtest.git;a=commitdiff;h=b5afeaa254a7345

  I will of course deal with any fallout this might have, although the
  risk is really low.

  This will be part of autopkgtest 2.12 which I'll upload to Debian
  today, which will also fix bug 1300031 and some others.
