Ah, gotcha. I can't reproduce the compiz crash bug, but the lid switch
is still causing events to occur. What happens now is that when I close
the lid of my laptop, the unity bar pops out from the side where it was
previously hidden. Running firefox in full screen mode on external
display. The desired action is for nothing to happen when I close the
lid of my laptop.

Thanks!

Title:
  "HandleLidSwitch=ignore" is ignored

Status in “systemd” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I want closing the lid of my laptop to have no effect. No lock, no
  suspend, no action. I set "HandleLidSwitch=ignore" as described here:

  http://askubuntu.com/questions/363795/closing-laptop-lid-suspends-
  lubuntu-since-upgrade

  But what happens is when I close the lid, the system locks and compiz
  crashes. Please let me know what logs I should provide.
