[Bug 1315183] [NEW] upgrading to newer version of ubuntu fails

i am presently using ubuntu 13.04 and want to upgrade to the latest
version, however i have to upgrade first to 13.10, this is where the
problem starts, i get an error message that 'unable to calculate upgrade
size'.
