This is a pretty common issue, which can generally be fixed by removing your mergelist and then running apt-get update to generate a new one. Use "sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf" to remove the mergelist and "sudo apt-get update" to create a new one.
If you're still having this issue after regenerating your apt lists, set the bug status here back to new.
