How often do you see the notification? I was unable to recreate this
after installing the linux kernel update for trusty and waiting a couple
of hours.

Title:
"Restart Later" not respected
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I ran updates this morning when I came into work. The system prompted
me to restart. I've got work to do and can restart when I leave, but
when I choose "Restart Later" it keeps popping up bugging me again. I
understand that a restart is needed to apply all updates, but I don't
need to be annoyed by it. My computer will be just fine until I get
around to rebooting.
The constant reminder to reboot is the same often-hated feature
Windows users have to deal with. Please respect the users wishes.
