Thanks for your help:

Yes I believe there are HDD Problems (may be other problems too).

I was able to get v13.10 and then v14.04 re-installed, but now problems 
with it saying "no Boot Manager", and I have to Boot using F8 to bring 
up the Boot Menue and manually select the Internal HDD. I reinstalled 
the GRUB Boot Loader, but that didn't help at all - same problem. Plus 
the Computer regularly shuts off (powers down) but not due to a 
temperature problem. I am working on the situation (but very frustrating).

  Ubuntu 14.04 Shuts Down, attemped Reunbstall of 13.10  Fails

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Consistent problems with Ubunu v14.04 as to Computer juet Turning Off
  (not Rebooting) when Downloading and  Installing Software. Attempted
  Re-Install from CD, only does not read CD, but only  Boots back into
  the Old v14.04 from HDD. Attemped re-install of previous v13.10 from
  CD works,and has always worked, but now crashes with the attached
  Error Log's. If I can get v13.10 to Install, that woeks well for me,
  and v14.04 and above not needed, as I have all necessary Files backed
  up on 160gb External HDD..
