  Software Updater does not launch from icon when updates are available

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Launcher icon correctly reports the number of available updates, but
  clicking on the icon does not bring up the Software Updater window.
  Right-click + choosing "install updates" does work (in the
  background).

  Right-click + choosing "quit", then launching the Software Updater
  (either from the dash or from the launcher) works OK.

  $ lsb_release -rd
