Bug description:
  Lubuntu QQ i386

  was trying to tweak the clock into the panel bar, and retrieving the available settings. The clock dialog setting give the way to get custom settings, using : man 3 strftime
  But only get:

  oem at Lubuntu:~$ man 3 strftime
  man: invalid option -- 'F'
  Try 'man --help' or 'man --usage' for more information.

  even the simplest search returns that unknown --F ghost :

  oem at Lubuntu:~$ man --help
  man: invalid option -- 'F'
  Try 'man --help' or 'man --usage' for more information.
  oem at Lubuntu:~$ man --usage
  basename : option invalide -- '-'

  oem at Lubuntu:~$ basename --help
  Utilisation : basename NAME [SUFFIX]...
           ou : basename OPTION
  Affiche NAME sans le précéder des composants des noms de répertoires
  Si spécifié, enlève aussi SUFFIX en terminaison.

        --help     affiche l'aide et quitte
        --version  affiche des informations de version et quitte

  Exemples :
    basename /usr/bin/sort       Résultat « sort ».
    basename include/stdio.h .h  Résultat « stdio ».
