Ran the following:

1.

sudo sed -i -e 's/archive.ubuntu.com\|security.ubuntu.com/old-
releases.ubuntu.com/g' /etc/apt/sources.list

2.

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

3.

sudo do-release-upgrade -d

resulting in:

Could not calculate the upgrade

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.
