Title:
ubuntu installation crashed when installing a disc (image?)
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Trying to get duel boot on my newly bought asus ux301. I keep running
into erros while installing Ubuntu14.04, my current host OS is
windows8.1
I have downloaded the Ubuntu .iso file and have booted to it for
installation. Windows quick boot is disablaed, along with windows
secure boot also disabled(I have UTEF? not BIOS). I partitoned my
SSDrive, and then started installation. I got to choose my time-zone,
and have opted-in for installing updates, and 3rd party software
during installation.
About 5 minutes aftet installation starts, I remember it saying
installing hardware... then installing disc.... and thats when the
fatal error occured. This is probably my 5th time trying to install
ubuntu alongside windows8.1 on this laptop.
I hate windows, please help
