[Bug 1377875] [NEW] PPC - Ubiquity does not find the network, stops at first stage

Public bug reported:

Ubiquity stops at the screen Preparing to Install because it cannot find
the network.  However, the network is connected and other programs can
find and use the network.  The machine is locked up when trying to use
ubuntu-bug so I cannot collect information that way.  Is there another
way to collect bug info.  This bug happens every time with the
2014-10-05 Desktop ppc image.
