The date comes from the service, reassigning. Can't confirm it there, do
you if the system clock was wrong when the update has been installed?

  Last Updated Date in 'About Phone' is incorrect

Status in “system-image” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  In 'About Phone' the Lasted updated field displays 1/5/14 for RTM
  image r91. This is on a device I flashed a few days ago and updated to
  r91 today. The date is showing correct for October 8th, 2014.
