I see requested version is available in 14.10 branch.

dpkg-query --list |grep powerpc
ii  powerpc-ibm-utils                   1.2.22-1                     ppc64el      utilities for maintenance of IBM PowerPC platforms

Lets wait until its included in 14.04 SP2 cycle (November?).
