Just to confirm that my ISO dated 10th October for lubuntu alternate
AMD64 installs fine (as did my i368 alternate).

  Confirmed

Bug description:
  To reproduce boot the daily live utopic-alternate-i386 daily from
  10-13. Then continue through testcase 1437 to install to the entire
  disk it will create paritions, write to disk, and then try to load
  kernel and say it failed to load the kernel.

  Ubuntu 14.10 utopic unicorn i386

  the version of debian installer is
  debian-installer (20101020ubuntu348)

  I expected this to install a kernel and boot instead the installation
  could not find a kernel.
