reproduce this on 14.04?

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub2

  I install Ubuntu 10.04.1 x64 alternative on HDD (with sw raid and lvm) from USB stick. But Grub was probably installed on USB stick. After that I boot from USB LiveCD (Ubuntu 10.04) again and try to install grub with command grub-setup -d /mnt/boot/grub/ /dev/sda (I mount boot partition on /mnt/boot). But error appear:
  grub-setup: /build/buildd/grub2-1.98/util/i386/pc/grub-setup.c:389: setup: Assertion `first_block->len == ((grub_uint16_t) (core_sectors - 1))' failed.
