Public bug reported:
When I installed Utopic it changed the default driver to intel pstate.
Ever since then my cpu speed has been locked to 800MHz while on AC
power. My cpu is rated for 1.8GHz. Manually setting scaling_max_freq
only has an effect when my laptop is unplugged.
This is a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/powermgmt-base/+bug/744429
His reason for closing it makes no sense. He (and I) had higher clock
speeds OFF of AC power, so power limitations cannot be the explanation.
Ubuntu 14.10
** Affects: powermgmt-base (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
