Public bug reported:

I upgraded to 14.04 and immediatly DNS, which is set to use Google public DNS, stopped working. I can launch my AnyConnect VPN via an IP, hit my lab and use that networks's DNS just fine. But when I disconnect and try to use my local DNS parameters, they do not resolve.
Pings to domains do not work, web sites do not resolve.
IP routing works fine. I can hit anything I want via IP addressing.
When I make a client VPN tunnel from Ubuntu, the new DNS parameters work fine.
DHCP server is a Meraki MX60 and is serving out fine to all other machines in the network except this one.
IPV4 information shows DNS as 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 just like all the other local machines. This is the only one that can not use it.
Same IPV4 settings were working fine before the upgrade (this machine was on 12.x before)
