Public bug reported:

After upgrade to Ubuntu14.04 the user profile is completely broken:
Typing the letter 'r' shows the volume bar. Different other letters
(like 'c') are not working in gnome terminal, especially I couldn't
"sudo" in my account.

Many "report error" dialogs appear without any hint, which error should
be reported.

The only solution was to remove nearlyy my complete profile. I removed
.gnome*
.config*
.compiz*
.dbus
.aptitude
.net*
.pulse*
.local
.kde

and several other directories, I thought I could recover. ONLY after
this cleanup, I could work with this version of ubuntu. The "report bug"
dialogs are left, but I cannot see any reason for this bug reports.

And now I have to clean up all other accounts, too?! Has there been any
Quality assurance for 14.04.1? I cannot believe this!
