As the original reporter, I set the status for usb-creator to "Fix
Released"; I set the status for Linux Mint to the same, but then thought
that would be incorrect, as the version which comes with Linux Mint
(17.1) was still version 1.2.2, and that the Linux Mint status probably
should not be changed until Linux Mint includes a fixed version of
mintStick.

usb image writer does not let me choose a USB

Status in The Linux Mint Distribution:
  New
Status in usb-creator package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Am trying to create a USB image of Linux Mint 16 in order to install
it on a different machine. I am using the USB Image Writer from the
Linux Mint menu. I can select the image I want to write to the USB
(linuxmint-16-cinnamon-dvd-32bit.iso), but the drop-down arrow to the
right is inactive - I cannot select the USB to which I want to write
  the image!

I am currently running LInux Mint 16 (64-bit) Cinnamon.
