10.04 has reached end of life and is no longer supported. If you still
have this problem on a supported release, please try to provide a better
description, preferably with exact output of commands and such.
** Changed in: grub2 (Ubuntu)

Title:
Starting ubuntu 10.04 after upgrade
Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
After installing ubuntu 10_04 Lucid Lynx 64-bit boot using grub working properly. But after the update - automatically proposed - often hangs in the boot prompt grub, sometimes not start but hangs on a blank page, and other times you start correctly. All this for no apparent reason. I reinstalled and updated several times grub, I changed the battery on the motherboard, I checked the hard disk, but the problem still remains. I resolved to reinstall ubuntu but without the upgrade. I have an AMD64 on Asus motherboard and before now I never had problems starting.
If you can remove this bug there would be grateful.
I remain at your disposal for further information.
Sincerely
maurilio
