  installed system did not bring up installed DASD device online

Status in debian-installer package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  installed system did not bring up installed DASD device online

  after installation. and IPL booting the installed disk, the system did
  not boot and dropped to busybox.

  the target installation device was not brought up online, and I had to
  manually echo things 1 > online. in /sys/ to get the installed drive
  online. exit busybox, to complete the boot.
