Public bug reported:

Could you please upgrade ccache to 3.2?

gcc-4.9 (shipped since Utopic) has built-in support for coloring its
output. However, ccache-3.1 is not compatible with this feature. So
you have to choose: either faster compilation with caching, or useful
color output, but not both at the same time (unless you hack together
ccache plus an external colorizer which is hackish and not trivial to
do).

ccache-3.2 adds support for this cool feature so it works out of the
box.
