Quoting your bugreport:

> Package: mksh 46-2ubuntu3

Quoting the Debian bugreport of yours:

>Found in version mksh/46-2
>Fixed in version mksh/49-1

So, this is kinda to be expected, especially if *buntu lags behind like
this.

Anyway, I've put you an up-to-date build of mksh on my PPA:

/+listing-archive-extra

Enjoy!

Title:
Hitting ctrl-C (intr) kills the shell

Status in mksh package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
The login shell is killed when I hit ^C, which is my intr setting.
This must be a bug in the job control management of mksh.

I used to have the same bug on Debian a few years ago but that bug has been fixed there.
