Bug description:
  Upon booting the 2015-01-2018 vivid livecd, the desktop session fails
  to start because /home/ubuntu/.config is owned by root.

  This appears to be the fault of scripts/casper-bottom/51unity8_wizard,
  which runs as root.

  WORKAROUND to enter a live session:
   1. press Ctrl+Alt+F2
   2. execute: sudo chown ubuntu: -R ~/.config/
   3. execute: sudo restart lightdm
