Attached contents of that folder (hope it doesn't contain any
compromising information!)

I did also get another error message immediately prior to this, which it
also promted me to file a bug report about - unfortunately I didn't have
time to copy this error message down and forgot about it (so haven't
reported it) - but maybe you can see that in the logs?

Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  This message came up in the later stages of installation, during
  'cleaning up'. It didn't give me any further info but suggested I
  reported the bug - which I'm doing.

  I'm updating from Kubuntu 14.04 -> 14.10.

  Is there any other info i can usefully attach?
