Title:
  Can't reinstall ubuntu 14.04 LTS on a linux laptop running ubuntu

Bug description:
  I have converted some old Windows 7 laptops to ubuntu 14.04 LTS and
  everything worked fine.  The software guys used the laptops for some
  time.  I wanted to recycle a couple of these laptops to fresh installs
  of ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS and downloaded new copies of the .iso files.  I
  started the install process and everthing seemed to work as i expected
  then near the end of the install I got a message box the the
  'Installer crashed.....".  Any thoughts?
