[Bug 1424484] [NEW] software center is not asking to authenticate as admin

Public bug reported:

When attempting actions that require root privileges, software center just fails with a bunch of errors popping up.
It should ask user for credentials (I am an admin user, able to do sudo).
This happens when trying to install proprietory nvididia driver, also when trying to open .deb files from the file manager, etc.
