Your installation medium has some broken third party packages on it,
possibly left over from previous use to install another OS. You will
need to wipe the usb stick and recreate it from the iso.

Title:
Cannot install on EFI bios. 10th time...

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Acer E5-771.
First tried Mint 17 (based on ubuntu 14.04 lts), never reached a working system.
First bugs : have to touch "/target/etc/apt/sources.list" because a `sed` in the installation process fails and makes ubiquity crash.
Still cannot reach the end of the installation process on ubuntu...
4th day on this problem, this is driving me crazy, tried with DOS and EFI part tables, many tutos/bug reports on the net, and still nothing works.
Will I have to install win7 to have a propper desktop working on a new laptop ?!?
  Thanks for support...
