Title:
  Octave application missing after upgrade

Status in octave3.0 package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in update-manager package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

After upgrading from amd64 Hardy with Octave installed to amd64
Intrepid, Octave was no longer installed. As far as I have noticed it
was the only application so affected.

This is only a minor bug as Octave can easily be reinstalled (sudo
  apt-get install octave).

Note that "octave" is a virtual package, which in both Hardy and
Intrepid is provided only by octave3.0, but in Gutsy (which this
system started with) was provided by octave2.9.
