  Grub Last Used option does not work any more

Status in grub package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub

  It worked for me once, but stopped now. Both under 8.10 and 9.04.

  Since the "startup manager" does not update the savedefault option, i additionally edited the "menu.lst"
  (savedefault=true).

  But still, does not update.
