Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub2

  Hello,

  i installed Ubuntu 9.10 x64 Final on my PC.
  After a cold boot of the pc grub2 hangs at "loading grub.." and nothing happens.
  When i set ahci in bios do disabled it works flawless.
  Now i can boot into Ubuntu. When i reboot an switch ahci on again. grub2 loads.

  But when i switch of the pc and do a cold boot its the same problem...

  I use Ubuntu with grub on my pc sice 7.04 and it works without
  problems with ahci enabled.

  My configuration

  Gigabyte P965 DS3 with Intel ICH8 AHCI Controller.
  2*4GB DDR 2 800 Kingston
  Core 2 Duo E8400
  4x Samsung Spinpoint F1
