A problem I had as well, see my topic;

Basically the fix is to remove icetea java JDK completely and use the
official vanilla java JDK...

  When in Chrome or Chromium and does not seem to work in firefox,
  pingtest.net says I do not have java enabled for the packet loss test.
  Have no other java problems on any other pages.
