Hi, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

There is a instruction to make print with the HP P1005 on ubuntu:

Can you try out this instruction? Does this work? Do you get an error
message?

  have log out of Ubuntu and have to sign in to Windows to print
