Thanks for the request, could you explain a bit the motivation to get
the new version? How much testing did it get in experimental? Did you
check the rdepends (the changelog suggest it's a change of codebase so
it's likely to have issue)

Reading https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=768096 some
DDs have concerns as well
