Title:
"Downloading Release" message after clicking Check is confusing

Status in update-manager package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

This text appears for a bit after checking for updates. It means
"downloading the apt release file", but most users will misinterpret
it as something dramatic, possibly hitting cancel.

I propose replacing this text (and other similar stuff that occurs
when you click check) with a more straightforward "Checking for
  available updates."

  Affects Natty, earlier.
