The workaround is to go to:
/var/lib/update-notifier/package-data-downloads/partial
delete all files and try installing the fonts again. If you're luck and you get all of them downloaded right, they will install. If not, delete the partial files again and try installing the fonts until you succeed.

Bug description:
  I've been trying to upgrade/update 'ttf-mscorefonts-installer' for the
  past week, but the install/upgrade fails with  a 'andale32.exe Hash
  Sum mismatch" error:

  I expect it to complete the install/upgrade, but it constantly chokes
  on 'andale32.exe', and generates a notification after each boot.
