grub legacy upstream is also stopped, only receiving possible random
fixes locally; and grub2 is now the default bootloader with all the
supported ubuntu versions.

Title:
  grub-fstest "--length" flag segmentation fault

Status in grub package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
A segmentation fault can be triggered in the grub-fstest application provided by the grub package.
Specifically providing any parameter that isn't an integer to the "--length" flag as per the following terminal command will cause a segmentation fault:

  grub-fstest --length=A

This doesn't appear to allow for the overwriting of stack registers,
however, I have not had the chance to look at it in any detail.
