Title:
  luksformat gives cryptic error if you enter a lower case YES

Status in cryptsetup package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  $ sudo luksformat -t vfat /dev/sdd1
  Creating encrypted device on /dev/sdd1...

  WARNING!
  ========
  This will overwrite data on /dev/sdd1 irrevocably.

  Are you sure? (Type uppercase yes): yes
  Command failed.
  Could not create LUKS device /dev/sdd1 at /usr/sbin/luksformat line 58, <MOUNTS> line 19.

  luksformat gives this cryptic error if you enter a lower case "YES".
  This should point to an error saying: Command failed. Could not create
  LUKS device /dev/sdd1 because you need to type YES in uppercase. If
  there is a way to change the error "Could not create LUKS device
  /dev/sdd1 at /usr/sbin/luksformat line 58, <MOUNTS> line 19." to
  something more useful, it would be appreciated.

  Packages affected:
  cryptsetup 2:1.0.6-7ubuntu7
