Grub failed to install because sda has no bios_grub partition.  If you
are installing to, and your bios boots from sdb, then you should choose
to install grub there, rather than sda.  You also will need to create a
1 mb bios_grub partition since the disk is partitioned using GPT.  In
addition, your logs are full of warnings about your GPT partition tables
being corrupt ( backup is at the wrong location ).  You should correct
these errors using parted.
