  Failed to upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04 after upgrading from 11.04 to
  11.10

Status in update-manager package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  I skipped Oneiric Ocelot when I learned that Unity was fairly hard to
  turn off.  Today I tried to do the upgrade path to Precise, only to
  get stopped by this error.

  There were no errors reported during the upgrade to Oneiric.
