Triaged/Low: I can confirm the pattern strings for translation are
wrong, that's why the translations are not applied correctly for the
"recovery mode" case.

** Changed in: grub2 (Ubuntu)

Title:
mixed english/german translation in grub menu

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
In grub menu "advanced options" I see the list of kernels written in 2
languages German and English, for instance:

"Ubuntu, mit kernel 3.13.0-23-generic" (<-- translated to German)
"Ubuntu, with kernel 3.13.0.23-generic (recovery mode)" (<-- untranslated message 1304)
  ...

The english ones are all the "recovery mode" entries.

There is allready a correct german translation in launchpad waiting for rewiew since more than 4 years! (Thanks Mario Blättermann)
