Public bug reported:

When editing long text using the c command, vim seems to temporarily
disable the "linebreak" option. This can be very annoying when editing
long lines of text.

A thorough discussion of this bug can be found in the Debian BTS bug
774492 (http://bugs.debian.org/774492)

I am encountering this bug on Ubuntu 15.04 running vim
2:7.4.488-3ubuntu2.

Debian fixed this issue by backporting patch 7.4.576 into the vim
package 2:7.4.488-7. It would be great if Ubuntu could backport/sync.

** Affects: vim (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
