[Bug 1455689] [NEW] Please support git in addition to bzr

Howdy,

Now that Launchpad supports git, it would be very handy to be able to
keep seeds in git as well., though somehow it'd have to be able to
handle platform.release in bzr while the flavor seed is in git.
