After confirming erase contents of USB stick, the following error
message occurs

Disk was empty, prior to confirmation (first step).  Free space showed up as blank.

Bug description:
  I was creating startup usb disk from ubuntu-14.04.2-desktop-i386.iso
  I selected this ISO, choose USB drive, pressed "Erase Disk", entered password
  and got error window with text:
